The Joy of Being

This morning on my walk I paid particular attention to tiny things going about their business existing.
Snail shell without occupancy.
Leaf falling.
Bird song.
Squirrel play.
Fossilized friend.
Ants busily pushing grains of dirt.
Grains of dirt holding footprints like art.
Footprints holding energy.
At first I thought "practically unnoticed" ... but is that really true? What a small role I play in Infinite Awareness that I should make that call.
So yeh ... me....add me to that list of tiny things.
The fulfillment of Purpose has been at the forefront of my thoughts lately. Nature doesn't struggle with purpose…ever. It just does what it does. It simply exists in its state of Being; all its tiny little parts supporting the Greater Wholeness.
Doing no intentional harm.
Providing.
Having no judgment or expectation.
Nature has no finality, only the rhythm of endings that lead to beginnings, the balance of which happens forever and overnight, a magical synchronicity with no need for that silly thing we call Time. Ah, the peace in that.
This morning I am reminded that my actions should naturally be guided by the awareness that I am a tiny but necessary part of that Greater Wholeness.
And to never lose sight of the simple joy of Being.
