Season of Self-Love

Updated: Dec 7, 2022

This morning I was reminded of a poem I wrote in September of 2019. I revisited it to find it wasn't quite complete. Today I found the "final touches" followed by a beautiful vision of how this poem could be revisited time and again. You know, a little more detail, a few more lines until.... until....and then the vision slowly faded like a pen running out of ink before the thought had been set to paper. That's the thing about life ~ there will always be more to learn. In fact, the entire human experience is really just one long experiential voyage of emotions and realizations. We all have struggles to unravel, peace to find, and purpose to fulfill so be kind to yourself in this season of self-love. You're doing amazing work that isn't easy. And, remember ... no step is too small....ever.

This is My Season

I started out a warrior and now I'm a lover. I started out screaming, asking why and the Universe threw it back in an echo until I learned how to whisper that it really didn't matter and then let it go.

I started out a warrior and now I'm a lover.

I fought the battle and I weeped.

I filled rivers and watered trees

until I could float downstream

under a luscious, collapsing leaf canopy

and recognized it was all necessary for me to grow.

I started out a warrior and now I'm a lover.

The new year is right around the corner and with it comes a lot of new one-day retreats with topics around taming the inner critic, boundaries, busting through patterns, and healing the Mother Wound. I hope to connect with you in 2023. Interested in a corporate retreat, a specially curated group event or a 1:1 experience? Please reach out... I'd love to create that for you.
